The Union (Pub), Castletown, IOM: Review

The highlight of our New Year's Eve revelries on the Isle of Man (IOM) was meeting up with chums old and new in The Union, (part of the Heron & Brearley brewery group) on Arbory Street. A super cheesy disco kept the tunes thumping out whilst a fully staffed bar ensured the amber nectar flowed… We had also paid a visit on our first night on the island. Alas there was a shortage of our favourite cask ale, Okell's, but the sole barman, affable Arron, suggested alternatives which everyone seemed quite content to imbibe.

The following images are a few of the 'uncensored' shots of the celebrations.

And after the fireworks all was again peace & tranquillity in Market Square.

We were extended an extremely warm welcome by the habitués at The Union. I and my chums express our gratitude to all for making us feel as if we were in our own local whilst away from our homes. Looking forward to returning soon for a pint of Okell's, maybe even Castletown pale ale. %)
